I may have found a used tiller for my B7100 but I am not sure if the tractor can handle it. The tiller is supposed to be a Kubota RS1200 (48"). Can anyone tell me what HP this tiller requires?? Any recommendations for purchase? any used ones out there?? Thanks,

yes your b7100 will run that model tiller i am looking for one that size to put on my b6200 the dealer tells me mine will take up to a 60" tiller but it would be hard on the tractor my b6200 has 12hp at the pto so if mine will run it yours should have no problem ....

I've been using a Bush Hog RTS40 on my B7100 for 4 years and it's been great, and is just almost exactly the same width as the outer tread of the tires on the 7100. I think a 48" would work just fine on the 7100, but I think that would be about the maximum for that tractor. Now I've traded the B7100 for a B2710 and haven't yet decided whether to trade up to a wider tiller or to offset this one to cover just the right track and keep it. It cost me $1,295 new. ....

Travis, Since posting that note I have actually purchased the RS 1200--and you know what! It wouldn't work!! The diameter of the tines was much larger than what others have used--When I hooked it up, the drive shaft and PTOs made a back wards Z--not good. I took it back and got a smaller model RS 1000--it was very comparable to what Bird Senter uses ( Bush Hog RTS40 ). Better, much much better. Not all tillers are created equal--its like alot of things it depends as much on the diameter as it does on the length. Hah hah ha ha. ....

Thanks for your comments Bird--they have helped. I purchased a very close cousin to your tiller. Thanks again. ....
